I am a graduate of U.C. Berkeley’s Department of East Asian Languages & Cultures (E.A.L.C.). I hold a degree in East Asian Humanities and a minor in Japanese Language & Culture.
I had the privilege of being the 2025 E.A.L.C. valedictorian graduation speaker and recipient of the Departmental Citation.
I am interested in the spaces—both internal and external—that evade the capture of language. I am fascinated by how the nuanced, mysterious, and liminal, in combination with the extreme, one-pointed, and radiant, can shock the individual and give rise to a sort of perfection in gnosis.
